In Defense of Play
By Allison Gopnik, The Atlantic (from August 12, 2016)

Back-to-School Nights are just around the corner! All children on campus on these nights must be monitored by an adult who is not attending the meetings. Students without supervision will be sent to the Extended Day childcare program where they will be monitored by the Extended Day staff from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the Library. This is a free service for Manzano Day School students ONLY.

We will also be giving our current Scouts their badges. There is one Cub Scout Troop (#48) serving 1st-5th grades (Bobcat to Webelos Dens) that is chartered by Manzano Day School but is NOT restricted to kids who attend Manzano Day School. If parents want to add a Kindergarten Den, that could be possible. Show up and find out how to join!
