Please remember the Water Authority began construction on the water lines on Monday, October 17. Their work hours are 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday which will cause traffic complications in our neighborhood.

I am told construction on Rancho Seco Rd. should be done by Monday, October 24. I will keep you informed as I am updated.

Warmly,

Neal Piltch

Nurse's Notes

Do you have a fever (over 100 degrees), chills, and every inch of your body aches?  Are you so tired you can’t even get out of bed?  Chances are you have the flu and bed is where you should stay.  There are some things you can do to help prevent getting the flu.  First anyone 6 months of age or older should get a flu shot.  You can contact your local physician or a pharmacy such as Walgreens or the pharmacy in your local grocery stores.  Some insurance companies will cover your co-pay if you go to a pharmacy.  Nobody knows exactly when flu season starts but some cases will be reported in October with January and February being the peak time of the flu season.

If you believe you have the flu sometimes antiviral medicines can be administered. However, the best thing you can do is to stay home and get plenty of rest.  Drink lots of fluids and eat healthy foods.  The spread of the flu is similar to that of the cold, as it is transmitted from person to person through airborne particles. Cover your mouth whenever you cough or sneeze with your arm or a tissue and frequent hand washing will help prevent the spread of the flu.  We hope you and your family have a healthy cold and flu season.
