Monday Afternoon Ceramics Class with Dr. Nash
This class will meet 6 Monday afternoons from 3:45-4:45:

Fused Glass with Dr. Nash on Tuesday Mornings
This class will meet eight Tuesday mornings: March 27, April 3, 10, 17, 24, May 1, 8, and 15.
You will learn how to fuse wire to your glass to create a hanger, or use ceramic fiber cord to make a hole that runs through your glass so you can hang it that way. Note: If you are making jewelry, you will need to purchase your own findings this year (hangers, bails, earring wires, earring posts, etc.). Students will make fused glass pieces between 1/4" and 4" in size. If you want to make something larger than 4" you will need to make special arrangements with Dr. Nash or take it to Hot Flash to be fired.
Open to Grades 2 and Up.

Wednesday Afternoon Drawing, Painting, and Collage with Dr. Nash
Students will explore the possibilities of drawing, painting, and collage, both on their own and in combination. We will create both abstract and representational images. During each class we may watch a short 3 - 8 minute demonstration video to help the students visualize and understand concepts; such as, oblique projection, 1-point perspective, isometric perspective, and 2-point perspective. Materials provided include tempera, acrylic, and watercolor paints, pastels and markers, as well as different types of surfaces. Students are encouraged to bring magazines, fabrics, ribbons, papers, and printed matter from home to supplement the selections in our collage box.
