Part Time Openings

Extended Day Staff

Manzano Day School is hiring part-time staff members to support our Extended Day program. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, active supervision of children during outdoor play and indoor activities, assisting students with homework as needed, leading students in structured activities and games, caring for the Extended Day materials and space. This is an entry level position. Applicants must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with ECECD requirements, prior to employment. While this is an entry level position, the school will take into account prior experience with providing childcare services. In addition to experience, any education or continuing education towards areas of teaching, childhood development, and early childhood development will also be taken into consideration. The Extended Day program has available schedules for mornings, 7:00am to 8:30am, and afternoons, 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday during the school year, with occasional opportunities to work special events. Environmental Educator at Fenton Ranch in the Jemez Mountains 

Fenton Ranch is an environmental education facility located in a beautiful canyon in the Jemez Mountains 80 miles north of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Fenton Ranch offers many environmental education lessons and activities (hiking, fishing, exploring) that encourage youth, ages 4 to 11, to grow into environmental stewards. Fenton Ranch also encourages youth to grow as individuals by facilitating experiences that foster independence, self-confidence, and creative thinking. The mission of the Fenton Ranch program is to provide all students at Manzano Day School with yearly environmental education experiences. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate a variety of environmental science lessons. 
  • Lead and facilitate various outdoor activities, such as hiking, archery, noncompetitive games, canoeing, birding, and nature journaling.
  • Complete logistical and maintenance requests as assigned.
  • Play, laugh and share in the joy of learning with very enthusiastic youth.

Position Dates:

  • Staff Orientation will take place August 19-23, 2024 
  • Programming will take place from August 26 - October 18, 2024

Substitute Teacher
Manzano Day School is currently accepting applications for substitute teachers.
