The admission process starts a year ahead of time. We accept applications starting August 1 for the following school year. For instance, we are currently accepting applications for both the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years. You may submit an application at any time, however, there are several steps to the admission process and space is limited, so we encourage you to start the process early.
We host three open houses every fall. Please join us for a brief overview of the school followed by a tour of our campus. Your RSVP is appreciated, but not required.
Tours of campus are scheduled at your convenience throughout the school year. Please contact the Admission Office to find out more or to schedule a personal tour.
Sibling/Legacy Preference Pool
The application deadline for siblings of current or past Manzano Day School students and legacies (children of past Manzano Day School students) is December 15. This allows admissible siblings and legacies to be offered admission instead of being placed on the wait list. Although you may submit an application after this deadline, it will be considered in the general admission pool and we cannot guarantee a place for your child.
Early February to Early March
The first round of admission decisions for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten are made during the first full week of February. Admission decisions for applicants to grades first through fifth are made during the first week of March. Subsequent applications for all grades are accepted and reviewed on a rolling admission basis as space is available.
The financial aid application process is available online through the School and Student Services website beginning November 1, 2019. Please note that you will need to have your income taxes completed in order to complete the financial aid application process. The filing deadline for the 2020-2021 school year is March 1, 2020 for returning students and ongoing for new applicants. Please contact Madonna Prokopiak, Director of Admission and Financial Aid, with any questions or concerns.
