Extended Day Summer Childcare Program

Are you looking for a safe, fun, and healthy environment for your child during the summer? We have a solution for you: The Extended Day SUMMER Childcare Program! When school is out for the summer and parents are at work, children need a safe place to participate in structured activities with their friends and supportive adults. The Extended Day SUMMER Childcare Program will be held in the Growney Assembly Center (G.A.C.) on the Manzano Day School campus.

The Extended Day SUMMER Childcare Program is for families who need quality childcare for their child when school is not in session. This childcare service provides a safe, supervised environment for children to play organized games and activities, do arts and crafts projects, meet new friends, and, most importantly, have fun! Children will be supervised by caring, supportive staff with experience working with children.

Staff:
The Extended Day SUMMER Childcare Program Staff are First-Aid and CPR trained each and certified each year. Additionally, our wonderful Staff work in the Extended Day Childcare Program during the school year with several staff members that have worked in the childcare program for many years. All staff have experience working with children in small and large group settings.

Snacks and Lunch:
The Extended Day SUMMER Childcare Program provides a healthy, nut-free morning and afternoon snack to all children. Due to an increase in food allergies, we ask that all children only eat the snacks provided by The Extended Day SUMMER Childcare Program to ensure the safety of all our children in the program. We will serve a morning snack at 9:15 a.m. and an afternoon snack will be provided around 3:30 p.m. each afternoon. Likewise, children will have lunch at 12:00 p.m. each day.

*Since our lunch service is not provided during the summer, STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING A LUNCH on the days they will be attending The Extended Day SUMMER Childcare Program.

Check In and Out Procedure:
It is a state requirement that upon arrival to the Extended Day facility, you (the parent or guardian) must sign your child into the program each morning and out of the program each afternoon. Children will not be released to anyone other than those who have been listed on the child’s Manzano Day School contact form unless we receive written permission from the family and/or guardians to do so. Along with the written permission slip, this individual will also need to provide a picture ID.

The Extended Day SUMMER Dates and Rates:

The Extended Day SUMMER Childcare Program is offered on three separate time frames to include:

Block I: May 28-May 31, 2019 ~ 7:30am-5:30pm

HALF-DAY RATE: $30.00/half-day (5 hours or less)
DAILY RATE: $60.00/full-day (More than 5 hours)
4-DAY RATE: $240.00/ 4 day-week rate (based upon four 10 hour days)

** The Extended Day SUMMER Childcare Program closes promptly at 5:30 p.m. and a late fee charge of $15.00 per ¼ hour, or any portion thereof, will be posted at 5:31 p.m., 5:46 p.m., etc. for all students picked up after 5:30 p.m.

Block II: July 15-August 9, 2019 ~ 7:30am-5:30pm

HALF-DAY RATE: $30.00/half-day (5 hours or less)
DAILY RATE: $60.00/full-day (More than 5 hours)
1-WEEK RATE: $300.00/ 1-week rate (based upon five 10 hour days)
4-WEEK RATE: $1,100.00/ 4-week rate (price break of $100.00)
