S.T.E.M. Fair Deemed a Success!

The S.T.E.M. Fair was a success! Last week, we had 80 participants from PreK through 3rd grades. This week, all 4th and 5th grade students shared their projects with a pair of judges. These judges are scientists, engineers, technology experts, educators and other science enthusiasts from the Albuquerque community. Every year, they complement us on the quality of projects and the confidence and ability of our students to present their learning. Thank you, parents, for guiding your children through the process of preparing for this event.

Thank you to the S.T.E.M. Fair committee including Penny Ewell, Regina Rizek, and Shari Stewart. Many others also chipped in to make the event run smoothly including all of the classroom teachers, Fran Fernandez and the Extended crew, Quang Nguyen and the maintenance crew, Leanne Ulibarri and the front office crew, Emily Villegas and Chris Vialpando.

Thank you to the many parent volunteers who helped out including lead parent volunteer Richard Schiek, Sushilla Knottenbelt, Sayoko Eleftheriou, Shannon Wildenstein, Angela Bachicha, Nancy Anthony, Liz Proffitt, Nat Peter-Stein, Matthew Faulkner, Anna Mesiti, Kim Ly-Fernandez, Neal Gerstein, Marcos Sanchez, Andrew Landahl, Susanne Anderson, Amy Stein, Ann Grillet, and George Skarbek-Borowski.

The following students won a Special Award. Both of their judges identified their projects as being outstanding. Congratulations!
